Automatic Test Equipment (ATE)

The Automatic Test Equipment (ATE2000) is optional equipment with specialised software and hardware interfaces that tests all operational features of the Cubic equipment. It provides a means to automate the test and fault finding procedures for all Cubic simulation equipment down to economic replacement module level. The ATE is Windows based and provides easy to follow operator cues throughout the test procedure.

ATE2000 tests the following units:

  • Manwear Harness
  • Laser Projector
  • Umpire Controller Gun (UCG)
  • MATAS
  • Anti-personnel Mine (with optional test jig)
  • Anti-vehicle Mine (with optional test jig)
  • Vehicle Hit Indicator (VHI)
  • Radio Laser Detector Modules (RLDM)
  • Vehicle Information Unit (VIU)
  • Large Format Transmitter (LFT)
  • Back Blast Transmitter (BBT) for Back Blast Danger Area (BBDA)

The ATE consists of a central computer with device specific jigs, allowing it to functionality test all Cubic products. The ATE prompts the operator to load the relevant test module, and to connect the Device Under Test (DUT). The ATE runs the device through a series of tests, prompting for operator input as required, and finally printing a full status report of the DUT. The ATE defines the fault to economic replacement module level.
