Anti-Vehicle/Tank (AV) Mines Simulator The Anti-vehicle (AV) Mine Simulator can be programmed to replicate the effects of most common anti-vehicle land mines. Anti-vehicle mine simulator is of more robust construction and will resist heavy or tracked vehicles when correctly laid. It has magnetic detection fuse (which detects the presence of a moving vehicle nearby) in addition to many other fusing options. The AV mine simulator can be ‘detonated’ by a number of external fuse options as fitted to a real mine, by a clacker or by one of the several internal fuses (such as anti-tamper, time delay, movement, moving vehicle nearby, or a near-by mine simulator ‘detonating’). |

The AV mine simulator is programmed using an Umpire Control Gun and provides a realistic training in laying, recovery, and fusing options. Upon 'detonation' the AV mine emits a coded radio signal which is received by manworn harnesses and vehicle hit indicators (VHIs). An appropriate outcome such as a "kill" or "near-miss" is recorded by the harness or the VHI depending on the position of the player in the 'lethal' zone of the AV mine simulator. All exercise data is transferred to the Combat Analysis System software or EXCON for after action review. |
