Grenade Launcher Simulator (GLS)

The Grenade Launcher Simulator (GLS) simulates accurately the physical characteristics and performance of a real grenade launcher weapon such as a M203 PI.

The GLS consists of a Laser Area Transmitter (LAT) fitted into the launch tube and a Replica Round (RR) fitted to the breech end of the launch tube. The RR translates the mechanical firing of the weapon into an audible event and initiate the laser emission by the LAT that emits large area laser to simulate the effects of the exploding grenade. The Replica Round is also used to replicate the loading and cocking of the weapon.

There is no modification required to the launch tube to accommodate the Grenade Launcher Simulator. It does not affect, in any way, the operation or normal use of the weapon.
