Aligning the transmitter/projector laser tube to the weapon's sights is required as different weapons and users have different sight offsets. The process of aligning the transmitter to the weapon sights is similar to live fire-zeroing practice.

Alignment of transmitters is achieved either by an automatic process or by a manual process using the following equipment:

• Mini-Automatic Transmitter Alignment System (MATAS)
• Laser Locator
