Anti-Armour Weapons Simulators

The CDNZ Anti-Armour Weapon Simulation System (AAWSS) is a laser-based system, which simulates the effects of shoulder-launched and anti-armour weapon's live fire in battlefield training exercises. It gives the players in the training exercises the realism of being able to accurately use weapons in a two-sided exercise. The AAWSS system provides threat to the CVTESS and TESS systems.

Simulation of the AAWSS system weapons is achieved by:

  • Small Format Transmitters (SFTs) and Back-blast Transmitters (BBTs) fitted to the weapons, or
  • Replica Round and Dummy Round simulators.
